起屋是中国民间建房风俗。流行于我国浙江南部一带。其具体内容是，建房先定房基，做法是在地下挖一个洞，埋下碎银和朱砂，再插上五条半尺多长的桃木符，最后烧纸放鞭炮，定基完毕，开始动工兴建。
