非言语交流（nonverbal communication），一译“非言语沟通”、“非言语交往”、“非言语通讯”。人际交往过程中，不使用语言而进行的信息传递过程。同言语交流相比，具有如下特点：（1）交流过程的连续性；（2）交流的多通道性；（3）较强的可靠性。基本形式有六种：（1）体语。即以身体动作等特征表达出来的意义信息系统。如面部表情、手势、姿势、抚摸和拥抱等身体接触的方式。它们可替代自然语言，辅佐深层次意义的表达，流露真实的感情。（2）目光接触。可表露治疗者对来访者的理解、鼓励和热诚等含义。（3）人际距离。可了解人际关系的亲密程度。（4）时间控制。选择适宜的时间段和控制适当的时间长度进行会谈，有助于促进治疗关系的稳定和有效。（5）实物与环境。人们用以表现自己的专业属性和性格特征，了解他人的无声语言。（6）类语言。一般包括声音要素和功能性发音。前者如音质、音量、音调、节奏等辅助性语言，后者则指无固定词义的发音，如哭、笑、叹息、呻吟等。
