隔区（Septal area）指大脑边缘系统的重要结构。位于脑的边缘叶内。按其与前连合的关系，可分为连合上部（透明隔的前部）和连合前部（胼胝体下回）。其核，有的位于胼胝体下回，有的散布于穹窿连合前部的纤维之间。在灵长类中得到充分发展。通过互相联系，边缘系统中的许多联系纤维向隔核与杏仁核两部集中。有资料表明，与隔核有关的边缘系统部分，与种族保存有关。研究表明，它参与情绪调节。如受损毁，可出现狂怒症状。
