闪速炉是一种强化生产的熔炼炉。具有巨大表面面积的粉物料，在炉内充分与氧接触，在高温下，以极高的速完成硫化物的可控氧化反应。反应放出的大量热，供给熔炼过程，使用含硫高的物料，有可能实现自热熔炼。闪速炉具有生产率高、能耗低、烟气中二氧化硫浓度高的特点。目前，闪速炉主要用于铜、镍等硫化物精矿熔炼。
