部分成本是为了适应管理上的某种需要而只用部分成本项目计算的产品成本。如车间成本只包括为生产一定种类和数量产品(劳务或作业)在车间范围内发生的费用;工厂成本只包括为生产一定种类和数量产品(劳务或作业)所发生的全部费用，但不包括销售费用。上述成本均属部分成本的范畴。在国外，用变动成本计算法计算的产品变动成本(只包括直接材料、直接人工和变动性制造费用项目)、只包括成本发生期内用现金支付的付现成本、表示产量每增加一个单位所引起的成本增益的边际成本等，也都属于部分成本。计算部分成本是企业经营决策和内部管理中的常用方法。
