药剂学是研究药物配制理论、生产技术以及质量控制等内容的综合性应用技术学科。其基本任务是研究将药物制成适宜的剂型，保证以质量优良的制剂满足医疗卫生工作的需要。由于方剂调配和制剂制备的原理和技术操作大致相同，将两部分合在一起论述的学科，称药剂学。现代药剂学有很大发展，还包括生物药剂学、物理药剂学等。
