肺活检即经皮肺活体组织检查。它用于肺周边部病变或弥散性肺病变的诊断和鉴别诊断。它的适应症为： (1) 通过纤维支气管镜、X线、痰液、微生物血等检查不能定性的肺内肿块性病变，特别适于诊断位于周边部位的肿块。 (2) 原因不明的肺部弥漫性病变，在有胸膜粘连的条件下可做经皮肺活检。 (3) 局限性肺浸润。 (4) 原因不明的纵隔肿块。
