碾压混凝土是一种干硬性贫水泥的混凝土，使用硅酸盐水泥、火山灰质掺和料、水、外加剂、砂和分级控制的粗骨料拌制成无塌落度的干硬性混凝土，采用与土石坝施工相同的运输及铺筑设备，用振动碾分层压实。碾压混凝土坝既具有混凝土体积小、强度高、防渗性能好、坝身可溢流等特点，又具有土石坝施工程序简单、快速、经济、可使用大型通用机械的优点。
