皮岛， 在鸭绿江口东之西朝鲜湾，也称东江。皮岛东西15里，南北10里，岛屿基本不生草木，并不算大。但是，在明末皮岛位于辽东、朝鲜、后金之间，北岸海面80里即抵后金界，其东北海即朝鲜，关联三方，位置冲要。今属朝鲜，改名椴岛。
