水足迹(water footprint)，是指在日常生活中公众消费产品及服务过程所耗费的那些看不见的水。此概念最早由荷兰学者阿尔杰恩·胡克斯特拉于2002年提出，其完整概念包括“国家水足迹”、“个人水足迹”两部分。如一个100克的苹果的“水足迹”为70升，一杯咖啡的“水足迹”为140升，而一个汉堡的“水足迹”是2400升。
