提单运费是指船舶从事货物运输时所收取的运费，实际上也就是班轮收取的运费。班轮在预定的各港埠定期行驶时，通常各港埠都有若干批货物，要由该船装运出口。船舶收妥货物后，船东对每批货物的托运人各签发一套提单，其中所载的运费金额，就是船东承运该批货物的报酬。由于这种运费的确定与收取来自提单，因此被称为提单运费。
