夹板，也称胶合板, 行内俗称细芯板。由三层或多层一毫米厚的单板或薄板胶贴热压制而成。是手工制作家具最为常用的材料。胶合板是由原木旋切成单板或木方刨切成薄木，再用胶粘剂胶合而成的三层或三层以上的薄板材。通常用奇数层单板，并使相邻层单板的纤维方向互相垂直排列胶合而成。因此有三合、五合、七合等奇数层胶合板。在铁路轨道上也常用到一种金属夹板，俗称鱼尾板，也叫道夹板。
