分群，白蚁的集群（社会），当群体密集后，就离开旧巢另作第二个新巢，一个集群包含有母蚁和雄蚁，而另一个则无，而是产生代替生殖者。格拉塞（P.P.Grassé）把白蚁“社会”这样分出对等的子社群，称之为分群（sociotomy）。“sociotomy”一词在日本也有译作社会分裂的。
