对某一争议案件进行仲裁审理活动时的组织形式。根据仲裁庭仲裁员人数，仲裁庭可分为： 1.独任仲裁庭。即仲裁庭由一人组成，独任审理；独任仲裁员的产生，可由双方共同协商指定，也可由共同委托仲裁机构代为指定。 2.合议仲裁庭。一般由两名仲裁员和一名首席仲裁员组成。其产生办法为由双方当事人各选一名仲裁员，第三名仲裁员由当事人共同选定或共同委托仲裁委员会主任指定，首席仲裁员是合议仲裁庭的主持者，与仲裁员享有同等的权利。
