The workshops centered around a broken processserving system, adequate documentation to prove indebtedness, and the issue of the robo-signing of affidavits used by attorneys to affirm proper ownership of past due accounts, similar to the issue now weighing on mortgage servicers.
In 2007, Brown Rudnick became an investor in the first Seedcamp fund (www.seedcamp.com) and I became heavily involved with that process, currently serving as a legal advisor to Seedcamp on selected issues and as a member of its Advisory Board.
