Henk Haagsman, a meat scientist at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, is trying to make mincedpork from cultured stem cells with the backing of Stegeman, a sausage company.
The donburi, a traditional Japanese dish that consists of rice and savoury toppings, can be ordered with US flavours like taco meat (spiced mincedpork), creole chicken or shrimp patties instead of teriyaki meats.
