At the Centres, youths can study e-learning modules including the Microsoft Digital Literary Curriculum , as well as take accredited courses in both business and entrepreneurial and technical skills.
As the NMC report shows, 97% of students in a pilot study found the Challenge-Based Learning approach worthwhile, and 80% reported that their work made a difference in their communities.
"Where schools must close, they are advised to consider what distance learning or self-study arrangements can be made for pupils in year 10-13, in order to minimise disruption to examination courses, " a Welsh government spokesman said.
