认知风格（cognitive style）也称认知方式，是指个体在认知过程中所表现出来的习惯化的行为模式。认知风格与智力无相关或相关不显著（Riding & Pearson，1994；Riding & Agrell，1997），大多是自幼所养成的在知觉、记忆、问题解决过程的态度和表达方式。认知风格是认知过程中的个体差异，是一个过程变量而非内容变量，具有跨时间的稳定性和跨情境的一致性，并且具有两极性和价值中性等特点。认知风格种类繁多，如场独立型和场依存型、思索型和冲动型、整体型和分析型。
