肉馒头,古老的汉族小吃。在苏南一带,如无锡、常州、苏州等地区,把带肉馅的包子叫“肉馒头”。这一带地区的方言里没有“包子”的概念,所以包子和馒头统称为“馒头”。 肉馒头而在“馒头”二字前加上馅的名称以示区分,如:豆沙馒头、芝麻馒头、萝卜丝馒头;而没有馅的,则称之为实心馒头。当然也有一个例外,卷蒸馒头,这是按照制作工艺起名的。
食物很简单,几乎完全是米饭,蔬菜,馒头,节假日里也许会有些肉。
