生死观是指人们对生与死的根本看法和态度。人生观的一种具体表现和重要组成部分。生与死是一切生命产生、存在和消亡的自然过程。但作为社会化了的人，则有一个如何对待生死的问题。不同的人生观，对生与死就会有不同的价值评价，从而形成不同的生死观。在中国古代，杨朱提出“贵己”、“重生”，主张以保全个人的生命为人生理想，认为死亡是“吾生”价值的丧失。庄子视“悦生而恶死”为人生的一大桎梏。认为要获得人生“自由”，就必须超脱死生之变。提出“以死生为—条”，否定生与死的界限，甚至把死亡作为人生自由、幸福的最终实现。
