模糊识别是指在大量的复杂的信息中，识别出有用的部份，即对接收的信息与以往的记忆和经验进行有关联认识，剔除无关的信息。视觉的作用，在于在复杂的背景中辨认特写的人和物或以往经历过的人和物。听觉的功能在于在嘈杂的背景中辨别出特定的声音，特别是不同人的音谱话声。这种认识就是解决有谁，有什么，是谁，是什么，等问题。
