红移效应是多普勒效应(Doppler Effect)的一个方面。当一个波源离你远去时,你接受到他的频率降低的现象叫红移。相对的当他向你靠近,接受到的频率升高的现象叫蓝移。大自然七色光中频率最低的光是红光,频率最高的光是蓝紫光,所以叫“红移”和“蓝移”。
