审美需要( aesthetic need)，又称“审美欲求”，是指人对美的生理、心理、精神的需求、欲望。是人的生命需求的一种表现方式，人所独有的自由自觉生命活动的本质特征和人的生存、发展的内在机制。人们对于美的需要也是一种基本的需要，比如希望行动的完美，对于事物对称性、秩序性、闭合性等美的形式的欣赏，对于美的结构和规律性的需要等，都是审美需要的表现方式。
