佛教三乘之一。称闻佛言教悟苦、集、灭、道四谛之真理而得道者。赵朴初 《佛教常识答问·僧伽和佛的弟子》：“四谛的教法，能令人断除见惑（我见、常见、断见等错误见解）和思惑（对世间事物而起的贪嗔痴等迷情），证得涅槃，叫做声闻乘。”参见“ 三乘 ”。
如来对所有的声闻乘说并且表现出它没有事。
The Tathagata speaks to all sravakas and presents it as no thing.
