增长极(Growth Pole) 如果把发生支配效应的经济空间看作力场，那么位于这个力场中推进性单元就可以描述为增长极。增长极是围绕推进性的主导工业部门而组织的有活力的高度联合的一组产业，它不仅能迅速增长，而且能通过乘数效应推动其他部门的增长。因此，增长并非出现在所有地方，而是以不同强度首先出现在一些增长点或增长极上，这些增长点或增长极通过不同的渠道向外扩散，对整个经济产生不同的最终影响。
