基因表现（英语：Gene expression，又称基因表达，有时直接以表现或表达来称呼）是基因中的DNA序列生产出蛋白质的过程。步骤大致从DNA转录成mRNA开始，一直到对于蛋白质进行后转译修饰为止。此过程影响了细胞分化与型态发生等生命现象。不同的时间、不同的环境，以及不同部位的细胞，或是基因在细胞中的含量差异，皆可能使基因产生不同的表现。
