《周礼》是儒家经典，相传为西周时期的著名政治家、思想家、文学家、军事家周公旦所著，但是实际上是西汉末王莽时期大儒刘向和其子刘歆的伪作。今从其思想内容分析，则说明儒家思想发展到战国后期，融合道、法、阴阳等家思想，春秋孔子时对其发生了极大变化。《周礼》所涉及之内容极为丰富。大至天下九州，天文历象；小至沟洫道路，草木虫鱼。凡邦国建制，政法文教，礼乐兵刑，赋税度支，膳食衣饰，寝庙车马，农商医卜，工艺制作，各种名物、典章、制度，无所不包。堪称为上古文化史之宝库。
