潮汕“三山国王”肇迹于隋、显灵于唐、受封于宋。隋初隋文帝时期，潮汕之三山（明山、巾山、独山）出现神迹。当地人便在巾山之麓建庙奉祀此三山之神，至今已具1400多年历史。
