货物运输保险是以运输途中的货物作为保险标的，保险人对由自然灾害和意外事故造成的货物损失负责赔偿责任的保险。 在我国，进出口货物运输最常用的保险条款是C.I.C.中国保险条款，该条款是由中国人民保险公司制订，中国人民银行及中国保险监督委员会审批颁布。C.I.C.保险条款按运输方式来分，有海洋、陆上、航空和邮包运输保险条款四大类；对某些特殊商品， 还配备有海运冷藏货物、陆运冷藏货物、海运散装桐油及活牲畜、家禽的海陆空运输保险条款，以上八种条款，投保人可按需选择投保。
