后来亚伯兰又渐渐迁往南地去。

Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Haran.

Now Lot, who was moving about with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents.

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: "Do not be afraid, Abram."
又把亚伯兰的侄儿罗得和罗得的财物掳掠去了。当时罗得正住在所多玛。
They also carried off Abram's nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, "I am God Almight; walk before me and be blameless."

The Lord had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you."

That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich

So Abram moved his tents and went to live near the great trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the Lord.
