Museum spokeswoman Patricia Wessels told the AFP news agency that police were alerted during the night when the alarm went off but that the thief, or thieves, had left the premises by the time police arrived.
However, its problems began when sharp-eyed players noticed that the fifteen years it had taken to develop had apparently not left enough time to create backgrounds, which had been lifted from The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, World of Warcraft, Thief: Deadly Shadows and elsewhere.
