As part of Mozilla's mission to keep the Webopen and put people in control of their Web experience, users can buy apps once and use it on any HTML5-enabled device.
Measuring its collection of apps against the standards of the OpenWeb Application Security Project or OWASP, Veracode found that only 16% of government web applications were secure, compared with 24% of finance industry software and 28% of commercial software.
It is based on the openweb, which means interacting with many of its HTML5-based apps will be like visiting websites through a browser, opening temporarily as apps, and closing.
