先后负责或主研二十多项国家级和部省级科研课题,曾负责两项国家自然科学基金面上项目,并作为第二负责人和主研者参加国家自然科学基金重点课题《环境类激素污染物对人类健康的影响及其作用机理研究》(2001-2004,批准号30030120,经费105万元),该课题获得2006年度四川省科技进步二等奖(本人排名第二)。目前正在承担“十一五”国家科技支撑计划重大项目《辅助改善老年记忆功能食品的研究及产业化》(第二协作单位负责人)和欧盟课题《食品质量与安全控制策略》(负责人)。曾获四川省科技成果二等奖两项,四川省科技成果三等奖、河南省科技成果三等奖、中国预防医学科学院科技进步三等奖、吴阶平医学研究奖、保罗·杨森药学研究二等奖各一项。在国内外杂志上发表学术论文近一百六十余篇,主编或参编教材、专著十多本,主持或参加完成国家标准五个。
在本项目中作为负责人,承担项目设计、组织实施与协调、指导各分课题的研究工作、完成总结报告等。
