酸值系指中和脂肪、脂肪油或其他类似物质1克中含有的游离脂肪酸所需氢氧化钾的重量（毫克数）。

酸值是在滴定1克的待测样品（如生物柴油）时，所需要的氢氧化钾质量。

I _A以毫克为单位，A是氢氧化钾的滴定量，单位为ml，N是氢氧化钾的当量浓度，56.1是氢氧化钾的分子量，W是待测物的质量，单位是克。

在测定时可采用氢氧化钾滴定液（0.1mol/L）进行滴定。

除另有规定外，按表中规定的重量，精密称取供试品，置250ml锥形瓶中，加乙醇-乙醚（1：1）混合液〔临用前加酚酞指示液1.0ml，用氢氧化钾滴定液（0.lmol/L）调至微显粉红色〕50ml，振摇使完全溶解（如不易溶解，可缓慢加热回流使溶解），用氢氧化钾滴定液（0.lmol/L）滴定，至粉红色持续30秒钟不褪。以消耗氢氧化钾滴定液（0.lmol/L）的容积（ml）为A，供试品的重量（g）为W照下式计算酸值(I _A)：

滴定酸值在10以下的油脂时，可用10ml的半微量滴定管。

The acid value I _A is thenumber that expresses, in milligrams the quantity of potassium hydroxiderequired to neutralise the free acids present in 1 g of the substance.

Dissolve 10.00 g of the substance to be examined, or the quantity prescribed, (m g),in 50 mL of a mixture of equalvolumes of ethanol (96 per cent) R and light petroleum R3, previously neutralised with 0.1 M potassium hydroxide or 0.1 M sodium hydroxide, unless otherwise specified, using 0.5 mL of phenolphthalein solution R1 as indicator.If necessary, heat to about 90 ℃ to dissolve thesubstance to be examined. When the substance to be examined has dissolved,titrate with 0.1 M potassium hydroxide or 0.1 M sodium hydroxide until the pink colour persists for at least 15 s (n mL of titrant). When heating has been applied to aid dissolution, maintain the temperature at about 90 ℃ during the titration.

酸值I _A系指中和1克供试品中的游离酸所需的氢氧化钾的毫克数。

取供试品10.00克或规定的质量（记录为m克），溶于50毫升等体积的乙醇（96%）（R级试剂）和石油醚（R3级试剂）混合液中（作为供试品溶液）。除另有规定外，加入0.5毫升酚酞溶液（R1级）作为指示剂，用0.1mol/L氢氧化钾滴定液或0.1mol/L氢氧化钠滴定液中和（滴定），滴定至粉红色在15秒钟内不褪色（记录滴定体积为n毫升）。如溶解时需加热助溶，则在滴定过程中需保持温度在90℃左右。(计算公式为）
