鲅鱼学名“蓝点马鲛”,我国的渤海、黄海、东海以及朝鲜近海是其主要分布地。其体态光滑娇美,呈纺锤形,一般体长0.3~0.5米,最长可达1米,背部为蓝黑色,布满蓝色斑点,腹部为银灰色,习惯于紧贴水面浮游,尾鳍与背鳍通常露出来。鲅鱼有时还会跃出水面,鳞光闪闪,非常壮观。鲅鱼牙齿尖利,行动敏捷,生性凶猛,其流线型的身体使之游泳的速度奇快,经常成群追捕小型鱼类,其中鱼是它们最喜欢吃的食物。
