酒精度在41度以上，多在55度以上，一般不超过65度才能算高度酒。白酒是中国特有的一种蒸馏酒。优质白酒必须有适当的贮存期。泸型酒至少贮存3～6个月，多在一年以上；汾型酒贮存期为一年左右，茅型酒要求贮存三年以上。酒度一般都在40度以上，40度以下为低度酒。
