食限（ecliptic limit ），天文学用语。食，通“蚀”。指日、月食发生所必须具备的日﹑月﹑地三者的相对位置满足一定的界限。日食、月食的发生，要求太阳对于黄道面和白道之间的交点的角的距离不能超出一定的限度，此限度叫“食限”。在此限度上，太阳圆（或地球本影的截面）同月球圆面在天球上相互外切。
