【英】又译“音群”。在音程内密集着一群由半音、全音或者微分音程而形成的组合。其特点是不突出个别音，而是寻求一群音的整块音响效果。 1912年为美国作曲家H·考威尔首先有意识地将音块用于创作之中，后彭德雷茨基将其用于其所作《广岛死难者的悼歌》（1960）之中。随着现代作曲技法的发展，音块被越来越多的广泛运用于音乐创作中，现代音乐技法创作的钢琴曲、大型交响曲等都会发现有“音群”的身影。
