鞭虫病是由毛首鞭形线虫寄生于人体的盲肠、阑尾及升结肠所致的常见肠道寄生虫病，分布甚广，尤其热带与亚热带地区的发病率最高，我国普遍存在，尤以农村多见。 患者以儿童为主，严重感染可影响儿童的生长与发育，轻、中度感染者可无症状；重度感染者有腹泻、便血、里急后重、直肠脱垂、贫血与营养不良。
