电压崩溃是由电压恶性下降造成的电力系统严重事故。电力系统正常运行时,电源的无功功率输出与负荷的无功功率消耗及网络无功损耗相平衡。若电源或无功功率补偿容量发生缺额时,负荷端电压被迫降低,当电压降低到某个临界值后,电压值持续不断地下降而不能恢复,即为电压崩溃。
