冰雹，又称为雹子，冷子和冷蛋子等，是对流性雹云降落的一种固态水，是我国的重要灾害性天气之一。冰雹出现的范围小，时间短，但来势凶猛，强度大，常伴有狂风骤雨，因此往往给局部地区的农牧业，工矿业，电讯，交通运输以至人民的生命财产造成较大损失。
研究结果可对雹灾监测与评价提供理论与技术支持。
