集合城市，亦称都市集结区。是指人口髙度集中，城市密集连成一体的城市区域。由英国格迪斯（PatrickGeddes，1854一1932）在《进化中的城市》一书中提出，用以描述城镇群的形成和发展。后泛指通过扩展工业、住宅所形成的城市地区。
