隔声材料(Soundproof Materials),是指把空气中传播的噪声隔绝、隔断、分离的一种材料、构件或结构。对于隔声材料,要减弱透射声能,阻挡声音的传播,就不能如同吸声材料那样多孔、疏松、透气,相反它的材质应该是重而密实的,如钢板、铅板、砖墙等一类材料。隔声材料材质的要求是密实无孔隙或缝隙;有较大的重量。由于这类隔声材料密实,难于吸收和透过声能而反射能强,所以它的吸声性能差。
降噪材料按降噪机理可分为阻尼减振材料、吸声材料和隔声材料。
