陆源碎屑岩是指沉积物来自大陆物理侵蚀作用,经流水、风、冰川、泥石流、重力流等搬运到沉积盆地沉积成岩。沉积过程受物理的或机械的因素控制,如流体性质 (气体、液体、固体),运动状态 (流动、波浪) 及其强度控制。碎屑岩占沉积岩总量的3/4以上。
