附加应力是指荷载在地基内引起的应力增量。是使地基失去稳定产生变形的主要原因。通常采用布辛涅斯克理论公式计算。土中附加应力随着深度的增大而减小,在基础底面处其值与基底附加应力相等,且应力分布是从基底位置开始;土中附加应力分布存在应力扩散现象,距地面越深,应力分布的范围越大,即附加应力可以分布在荷载面积范围以外。
