本品为六方晶系列或无定形橄榄绿色粉末，有金 属 光泽。比重5.21，熔点2266±25℃，沸点4000℃。不溶于水和 酸，可 溶于热的碱金属溴酸盐溶液中。对光、大气、高温及腐蚀 性气体（SO₂、H₂S等）极稳定，有很高的遮盖力，具有磁性。
