铜刀作为兵器，或作为工具。用途广，形制多样。有的长刀直背，凸刃，刀尖向后钩，最长约八十厘米，宽十几厘米。有的形如工具中的削，柄作环形或兽头形。长刀主在盛行于商代，其他通行于商至战国。见“刀”。
