钙铁榴石，英文名称Andradite，是为纪念巴西的矿物学家J.B.d'AndradaeSilva而命名。颜色以黄、绿、褐、黑为主，其中含钛呈黑色者称为黑榴石（Melanite）；黄色者称为黄榴石（Topazolite）；绿色者称翠榴石（Demantoid）。
联合法赤泥物相组成主要为石英和钙铝黄长石，其次为钠长石、钙铁榴石和钙钛榴石。
