1. 谓层层设门。2. 宫门；屋内的门。 3. 犹重关。喻指边防要塞。重门，之所以留名于史、传名至今，主要在于它是曹魏第三代皇帝曹芳（史称少帝或邵陵公）的王宫（齐王宫）和被司马氏废除后重又降为齐王而被禁的幽宫。从景初三年（239）曹芳继位魏帝到泰始十年（274）曹芳幽愤而死，直至永嘉四年（310年）石勒同刘曜于此结盟，先后70余年，魏晋时期曹魏家族与西晋司马氏集团争夺天下的政治风云，始终飘浮在重门上空。
