In this thesis, technologies in enzymatic hydrolysis of corncob, ethanol production from cellulosic hydrolysate, simultaneous saccharification and fermentation using a thermotolerant yeast strain and a recombinant yeast respectively were investigated. Enzymatic hydrolysis of dilute acid-pretreated corncob was investigated.
